As Operations Assistant I have a lot of back-office responsibilities, such as timekeeping, sorting out the incoming and outgoing post, and providing assistance to internal departments. I help ensure that internal business processes continue to run smoothly.
I was looking for work in a small, growth-oriented organisation with an international character. Coolworld had all these qualities! The fact that the company is based close to home was an added bonus.
Working as an Operations Assistant at Coolworld
As Operations Assistant, I process all the paperwork, including the incoming and outgoing post. I also offer support to the Planning/Transport and Operations Support departments. I also deal with any breakdown calls and carry out a variety of admin work.
The busier, the better
At Coolworld you have to be able to switch from one task to another. For example, there are peak times, when all the orders come in at once. In that case it’s all hands on deck to help customers as quickly and efficiently as possible. And although there are quieter times when I can catch up on all the paperwork, I prefer to work under pressure when there’s a lot going on around you.
The customer is king
What Coolworld aims to see is satisfied customers. So the customer is always king and we do everything we can to give a complete service, as efficiently and professionally as possible. Our strength lies in listening to the needs of clients and giving good advice.
My vision for the future
I’d like to learn a lot more so that I can carry out even more back office tasks in the future.
