Hot summers, cool facilities: International tire manufacturer relies on Coolworld's cooling technology

For several years now, one of the world’s leading tire manufacturers has been relying on additional cooling units from Coolworld during the hot summer months. The reason: When the outside temperature reaches 30 degrees, the rubber material begins to stick—which can compromise product quality and lead to increased scrap in tire production. This scenario is incompatible with the premium manufacturer’s high quality standards. As a result, mobile chillers and ventilation units are rented annually from May through September, enabling flexible temperature management in the massive production halls. This project is sustainable, cost-effective, and at the same time comfortable for the employees. Here you can learn all the facts about the project and gain insight into the challenges that were overcome:

How was Coolworld able to help the tire manufacturer?

  • When the outside temperature reaches 30 degrees or higher, the halls used for premium-segment tire production must be cooled.
  • Three large production halls with a total volume of 53,000 m³ are temperature-controlled using flexible rental cooling systems.
  • Coolworld strategically delivers 16 air conditioning units and positions them optimally in the halls and tents.
