The reason: When the outside temperature reaches 30 degrees, the rubber material begins to stick—which can compromise product quality and lead to increased scrap in tire production. This scenario is incompatible with the premium manufacturer’s high quality standards. As a result, mobile chillers and ventilation units are rented annually from May through September, enabling flexible temperature management in the massive production halls. Hot start-up phase: mastering logistics to ensure quality

The three production halls in Hanau are very large, requiring precise, project-specific logistics. Several trucks deliver the equipment directly to the required locations, with parts of the factory site temporarily closed off for this purpose.

A total of 16 cooling units are used. One chiller and one air handling unit are lifted onto a canopy using a truck-mounted crane. Once the customer has completed the setup and Coolworld has commissioned the equipment, everything is ready for operation.

When temperatures rise above 30°C, the halls can be cooled quickly and flexibly. This helps ensure product quality, sustainability, and efficient production processes.

At excessively high temperatures, rubber expands and becomes sticky. This can result in increased waste, loss of quality, and limitations in further processing.
