Carrefour Supply Chain expanded one of its fresh food warehouses in France. Two new refrigerated areas for perishable foods had to be put into operation immediately, even though the permanent refrigeration system had not yet been installed. Coolworld provided a temporary solution to ensure the cold chain remained intact.

From a strategic logistics centre in France, Carrefour Supply Chain supplies Carrefour hypermarkets, Carrefour Market and Carrefour Contact stores every day with fresh produce, frozen goods and seafood. As part of a warehouse expansion, two new cold stores had to be secured under tight time pressure. Temporary cooling for two zones

Coolworld installed four chillers, each with a cooling capacity of 800 kW, along with 18 air handling units. The solution reliably maintained both cold stores within the required temperature range and provided temporary cooling until the permanent system was installed.
