Temporary cooling solution for Fleury Michon during refrigeration system renovation

Fleury Michon is one of the best-known food companies in France. The company produces a wide variety of food products for French supermarkets, among others. In early 2020, the compressors in the refrigeration system needed to be replaced. Some of the compressors had reached the end of their service life, and others had become too expensive to maintain. In addition, Fleury Michon wanted to upgrade the refrigeration system with an eye toward the future. With the goal of using energy efficiently—to ensure environmentally responsible cooling and control cooling costs—Fleury Michon decided to turn to CN Solutions to tackle this challenge. CN Solutions is an international organization that helps companies optimize their energy efficiency.

Coolworld did everything possible to ensure that Fleury Michon’s food production continued to run at full capacity while their refrigeration systems were being modernized. Thanks to Coolworld’s rental refrigeration solutions, Fleury Michon was able to rely on a constant supply of cooling throughout the entire process.

Need and Challenge

Fleury Michon, one of the leading companies in the French food industry, wanted to replace the entire cooling capacity at its Chantonnay production site to reduce energy consumption without interrupting production.
Solution

Coolworld took all necessary measures to keep Fleury Michon’s food production running at full capacity during the renovation of its refrigeration systems. The temporary setup delivered 2,500 kW of cooling at -8°C and included five 800 kW Eurovent-certified chillers, eight circulation pumps, 500 metres of cable, and nearly 1,000 metres of DN100 piping.
